Lifeline
Telephone ServiceLifeline Service is available to all residential customers with low income. With this service your installation fee will be just $10.00, and your total monthly bill will be reduced $13.50.
To qualify for the Lifeline Service Program you must receive benefits from one of the following programs:
Temporary Aid for Needy Families (TANF)
Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
MaineCare
Food Stamps
Energy Assistance (HEAP)
Emergency Assistance Program
Customers must be certified as eligible by the appropriate State of Maine agency or present satisfactory proof of eligibility to the Company for both the reduced monthly rate and the installation credit. Eligibility will be verified at least once per year by the Department of Human Services or Division of Community Services. Customers who are no longer eligible will be notified by their Service Representative.
